Here are some selects from a recent college senior portrait session I did with a former student of mine.  There is a big difference between a high school senior portrait session and a college session.  College students are no longer young girls of 17, but are women of 22, and a lot of living and sophistication has happened in that 5 year period.

When I photograph a college senior, I try to capture all the sides of her.  She is young and still interested in young girl things, but she is sexy and is entering the world of business.  It's very fun to photograph college seniors because style-wise, the sky is the limit.  For Andria's session, she needed a great portrait for LinkedIn as she enters the business world.  She wanted something grown up and sexy, and she has a beautiful Old Hollywood glamour look. We also created ethereal portraits that showcase her fresh face and love of dressing up.

As a San Gabriel Valley college senior portrait photographer, I photograph students from Azusa Pacific University, Citrus College, the Claremont Colleges, Pasadena City College, Mount SAC, my alma mater Art Center College of Design, and so many other colleges around the area.

In a way, a college senior portrait session is a bridge. It's a way to bridge the time between the safety and optimism of college and the new chapter of life in the working world.  A business portrait is always a part of my college sessions because everyone entering the working world should have a very professional and go-getter-style portrait on their LinkedIn page.
