Can you believe this portrait was taken in my Los Angeles, California photography studio? Part of the experience of a Simpson Portraits glamour photography session is getting a dose of fantasy. It's a blending of fashion, fine art, glamour, and pampering.
Blending Studio Portraits with Fantasy
For this picture, I was inspired by a vintage New York fashion photography. I wanted a timeless feel to the portrait, but I didn't want my client to be wistfully looking out over T. Phillips Restaurant across the street. I blended the portrait from my studio with two images of New York City to create this fantasy composite.
I am a New York City girl, born and raised. Now that I live in Los Angeles, I want to bring some New York fashion to Glendora. But maybe New York isn't your dream city. Maybe you love Paris, or Tokyo, or even something crazy like the moon. A portrait session with me is a collaboration, blending your style and personality with my artistry and imagination.
The Fantasy Portrait Experience
Before you even book your session, you and I will sit down together and talk about your ideas for a fantasy portrait session. I want to get to know you, your style, your interests, and what you're picturing in your imagination. We will share ideas and figure out a style, talk about clothes and accessories, and plan your session.
Hair and Makeup is Included
Your hair and makeup is included in your portrait session. You will be pampered for an hour getting ready, then we will start our photography session. Don't worry about not knowing what to do. I will guide you on poses, expressions, and will walk you through the whole process of being a fashion model for the day.
About a week after your session, you will return to the studio to look at your amazing portraits. With my Create-a-Collection pricing, you will get to choose your fine art products, such as framed watercolor prints, albums, acrylic or canvas prints, and my exclusive, custom made crystal folio boxes You will then choose your digital files - low resolution for use on the web, or high resolution for archiving and re-printing.
